Who we are

Depot Desk is run by Veracent Intelligence Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17475323), registered office 80 Scraptoft Lane, Leicester, LE5 1HW. For anything about privacy, email info@veracentintelligence.co.uk.

Two kinds of information

About our customers. When a depot signs up, we're responsible for the account details we collect: your name, email, phone number, which delivery network you work with, and billing details. If you send us the contact form, we keep what you send us so we can reply.

About drivers and staff in your depot. Your depot decides what goes into Depot Desk: drivers' names, phone numbers, routes, stops, pay, extras and deductions, notes and messages. For this information your depot is the controller and we're the processor: we use it only to run Depot Desk for your depot, and never for anything else.

What we use it for

  • To run your depot's rota, pay and driver app.
  • To send notifications that you or your drivers have turned on.
  • To take payments and send invoices.
  • To reply when you contact us, and to tell you about important changes to the service.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

  • Supabase stores the data, in a London data centre.
  • Vercel runs the website.
  • Stripe takes payments. We never see full card or bank details.
  • Google, Apple, Mozilla and Microsoft deliver push notifications to phones and browsers that have turned them on.
  • Google Fonts provides the typefaces the website uses.

How we keep it safe

Each depot's data is kept separate from every other depot's. Drivers can only see their own pay. PINs are stored scrambled, and copies that managers can look up are encrypted. Access is protected by passwords and PINs.

How long we keep it

We keep your depot's data while your account is open. If you close it, we delete it within 90 days unless you ask us to keep it longer, or the law requires us to keep records (for example, invoices for 6 years).

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Drivers should contact their depot first, as the depot controls their information. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies and storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The app keeps you signed in and remembers settings like dark mode using your browser's own storage.
